This is a very decadent dessert which is really fun to make. What makes this yummy cookie really Christmassy is the additional of chocolates – you can use M&M’s, or anything you wish but we decided to use some Quality Street.

Heat the oven to 160c/Gas 4.
In a electric mixer beat together the butter and sugar.
Beat in the salt, egg yolks, and vanilla.
Then beat in the flour and baking powder.
Finally stir in the chopped chocolates.
Spoon the mixture in the pan.
Flatten right to the edges.
Bake for 30 minutes and remove from oven.
Leave to cool for 10 minutes.
Top with ice cream and serve.
